Maria Mendoza
Maria is a mother of two beautiful children, a wife, sister, friend and an entrepreneur. Maria is currently a freight broker and a life insurance agent.
Maria does not come from either of these industries, she came from the medical field, she worked as a medical assistant for about 3 years before she started helping her dad, Santiago start his trucking business in 2012. From not knowing anything about the transportation industry or how to start a business, Maria successfully started her dad’s business, which she still manages to this day. Now Maria also helps other truck drivers like her dad, start and manage their own trucking business.
After learning the ins and outs of the transportation industry, Maria decided to become a freight broker after experiencing and seeing first hand how some loads were very underpaid. Maria wanted to become a freight broker just to eliminate the middleman and get better paying loads for her dad, little did she know she was going to help many other drivers along the way. In 2016 Maria co-founded Newman Freight, since then, Newman Freight has rebranded and it’s now ATM Freight logistics. Maria is now the only owner and CEO.
After being self employed for many years, and learning how business works from scratch, Maria soon realized the lack of information on how to properly run and maintain a business that is not out there and if it is, it can be hard to find and or overwhelming. She had to teach herself everything. Since being self employed, Maria didn't have the most important thing set in place, which was a retirement plan. She had nothing to show for her future with her current hard work. Again, from all the research she did, she found that one of the best retirement plans out there are the index accounts.
After meeting with her life insurance agent, Maria saw the importance of learning and teaching her family, communities and business owners like herself, how money works and how they can use it in their favor. She joined the financial industry right away and the rest is history.
And now we are here with the rebranding of ATM Freight Logistics and giving birth to AllthingsMaria ! AllthingsMaria is going to be your go to resource, a safe place, where Maria is going to be talking about everything like life insurance, financial services, trucking & logistics. You know, all the things we were never taught and so much more.
